INSIDE THE STUDIO with QUESTLOVE Sunday May 15th 2011 at Warmdaddy's

What would Philadelphia Music be without Questlove?

It's been 20 years since his group, The Roots, graced the sidewalks of South Street and he hasn't come up for air yet. In an entertainment world where success seems to come sooner then later, HE is truly the”hardest working man in the business”. Its the Life Creative is proud to present Inside the Studio with Questlove!

Questlove has taken his position as The Roots drummer and band leader and expanded to super-producer, taste maker, voice of the “newest” sound of Philadelphia and the main proponent of this New/Alternative soul movement. With all these titles and four Grammy’s under his belt you may ask, what’s next? How about designing his own sneaker for Nike? Done. Scoring a critically acclaimed movie? Done! Starring in a commercial with Madonna? Done! Become Music Director for a major award show? (Hip Hop Honors) Done! Design his own drum stick? Done! Maybe receiving endorsements from the likes of Prince, Gamble & Huff and Bruce Springsteen? Done! Perform every night on TV with your friends, creating memorable performances with music’s elite? Done! Curate his first music festival which will be televised live all over the country, well... that’s in July, but you get the picture.

Sunday, May 15th at Inside The Studio, we sit down with the man who has "done" it all and still manages to stay loyal to his home town of Philly, Questlove aka Ahmir Khalib Thompson. To guide this experience, Inside the Studio consists of resident deejay, DJ Afrodjiak, a well known selector on the Philly scene who will provide tribute music; and host, Laiya St. Clair, a Philadelphia radio and television personality who uses her passion for arts and culture to guide us through the layers of each artist. And last but not least, Flygirrl is the executive producer of the event and the visual artist's curator. Tribute visual art will be by Freek Ugly, Tone Casso, Flygirrl + more!

It's RSVP ONLY! Make sure to get yours in! See you at Inside The Studio. To RSVP Click HERE
