Michael Vick's Superman Performance Ignites the Eagles Comeback Against the New York Giants

With less than eight minutes remaining in the fourth quarter in the matchup between

the New York Giants and Philadelphia Eagles on Dec. 19, the Giants held a 21-point lead

over the Eagles and appeared to be headed towards their 10th victory of the season.

However, Michael Vick did his best Clark Kent impression by putting on his Superman cape

and single-handedly sparking one of the most exciting comebacks of the season.

Vick threw a 65-yard touchdown to tight end Brent Celek.

After the Eagles retrieved the ball from an onside kick, Vick rushed for 35 yards and then ran a

4-yard touchdown. The Giants were forced to punt with three minutes remaining and

Vick rushed for 33 and 22 yards. He then threw a 13-yard touchdown pass to Jeremy Maclin.

The Eagles soared to a 38-31 victory after DeSean Jackson returned a punt for 65 yards.

Vick finished the game with 242 yards and three touchdowns and rushed for 130 yards.

His mesmerizing performance added to a spectacular season in which he started as

the No. 2 quarterback behind Kevin Kolb.

Vick is currently one of the top three players in the NFL and should battle

Tom Brady for the MVP Award as the season comes to a close. –a.r.

Holiday wishes granted for dozens of families in the North Philadelphia area.

Toy Drive: Holiday wishes granted for dozens of families in the north Philadelphia area.

American Dreaming magazine has called on its loyal supporters to grab one extra item while holiday shopping, to be donated to deserving families participating in the CCIS program in North Philadelphia.

Philadelphia, PA — the decision was simple; as the creators of American dreaming magazine decided to forgo their bi-monthly issue release event for the opportunity to help families in the North Philadelphia area. Partnering with CCIS north and Rictascale Records LLC, the team of American Dreaming Magazine plans to collect toys, clothing and educational items for under privileged families hoping that this will serve as some relief during a stressful holiday season.

The decision was unanimous once staff learned that there were families within the CCIS program whom were still waiting on assistance and would most likely have to suffer through the holiday season without basic necessities such as clothing and school supplies. “Our holiday wish has already been fulfilled we have completed our first year as a print publication and thanks to the loyalty and support of our sponsors and subscribers we are in the position to pull our resources to help others, making the decision to partner with CCIS north one that came with ease.” Says, Brandon Davis, Editor-in-Chief of American Dreaming magazine.

Local recording company Rictascale Records LLC, with roots that begin here in the Philadelphia area immediately embraced the idea of helping out in the community that has produced the musicians that they record. Owner Khayree Reeves being born in raised between West & North Philadelphia has spent over a decade working out of the legendary Larry Gold studio and attributes a great deal of his budding success to the city that helped him develop his sound, therefore believing his involvement in this holiday drive is a responsibility for himself as well as the artist his has produced.

Calling on the assistance of local sponsors the organizers of the CCIS Holiday Drive have been able to establish donation drop off locations in the Piazza at PYT, and Posh Boutique,Boutique 77 in the newly errected 777 building at Broad & Fitzwater st.,as well as the DNTN pop up store located on 38th & Lancaster Avenue . In addition local restaurateur Robert Bynum, Ben Bynum Jr. owners of WarmDaddy’s on Delaware avenue and Relish on Ogontz Avenue are offering discounts to patrons that donate items. Donations will be collected until the CCIS holiday reception on Dec 15th, at which all donations will be gathered for distribution to the dozens of deserving families, that all parties hope, this collaborative effort will assist.
